Although this website is named ATIAK, please note that as of 1st February 2025, the author has been transferred to Pallisa Chief Magistrates Court. From this date forward, this website will document the author’s activities, decisions and experiences while serving at Pallisa Chief Magistrates Court. The content on this website may still refer to the author’s previous tenure in ATIAK, but all new updates and posts will reflect the author’s work in Pallisa.
We are a magistrates court located in Atiak Town Council, Amuru district. Handling all civil and criminal cases arising out of the areas like Pabbo, Atiak, Nimule, Elegu and other nearby areas.
We are serving under the Judiciary of Uganda and Government of Uganda.
In criminal cases, it is for the Government through the State Prosecutor or State Attorney to prove the case against the accused person in a court of law.
Civil cases are where an individual, a company or even government does something wrong that causes you loss or injury for which you as a citizen can seek compensation.
