A delegation from the Uganda Judicial Officers Association (UJOA), led by President Justice Olive Kazaarwe Mukwaya, paid a heartfelt visit to the victims of the Kiteezi garbage slide tragedy.
During the visit, President Justice Olive Kazaarwe Mukwaya expressed deepest condolences to the families of the victims and emphasized UJOA’s commitment to promoting justice and human rights.
“We stand in solidarity with the people of Kiteezi and pledge to advocate for improved waste management practices to prevent such tragedies,” Justice Kazaarwe Mukwaya stated.
The delegation donated essential items, including food, clothing, and medical supplies, to the affected families and engaged in discussions with local leaders to identify long-term solutions.
HW Kyembe KARIM noted, “This tragedy highlights the need for collective action to address environmental and social issues. We must work together to create safer communities.”
The visit demonstrated UJOA’s dedication to social responsibility and its members’ commitment to serving the community.
